Book haul!

Recently I placed a book order, and bought a few books when I was out and about. So I thought I’d do a book haul. There’s nothing better than a good haul, and adding books to that just creates something amazing and doing one myself seems just as fun.

Lets get started…

I bought this first book a while back but still haven’t got around to reading it, which is sad because I REALLY want to. One of my bestfriends recommended it to me and the way she described it just made me want to own it due to her description alone, so I went out and bought it!

Author: Erin Morgenstern

Synopsis (This is copied from the back cover. click here for the Goodreads page)

The circus arrives without warning.

No announcements precede it.

It is simply there, when yesterday it was not.

I don’t usually go for this genre of book, so I am excited to eventually read it and see what I think.

The second book was another I bought when I was out, because you can guarantee if I have money left over, I will be going to the book shop to buy a book.

Title: Fangirl

Author: Rainbow Rowell

Synopsis (This is copied from the back cover. click here to see the Goodreads page)

Cath and Wren are identical twins and until recently they did absolutely everything together. Now they’re off to university on wrens decided she doesn’t want to be one half of a pair anymore- she wants to dance, meet boys, go to parties and let loose. It’s  not easy for cath. She would rather bury herself in the fanfiction she writes where there’s romance for more intense than anything she’s experienced in real life.

Now Cath has to decide whether she’s ready to open her heart to new people and new experiences, and she’s realizing that there’s more to learn about love than she ever thought possible.

I read this book recently and Really loved it, I found myself relating to Cath quite a lot and the experiences she went through. This was a good coming of age book, and I would recommend it to somebody who is currently in a reading slump because it was a very easy and fun read.

The next book was a part of my big Amazon order. I’d been needing a book order for a while and finally made one!
IMG_20160217_171907Title: Eleanor & Park

Author: Rainbow Rowell

Synopsis (This is copied from the back cover. click here to see the Goodreads page)

Eleanor is the new girl in town, and with her chaotic family life, her mismatched clothes and unruly red hair, she couldn’t stick out more if she tried.

Park is the boy at the back of the bus. Black T-shirts, headphones, head in book- he thinks he’s made himself invisible. But not to Eleanor… never to Eleanor.

Slowly, steadily thorough late night conversations and an er-growing stack of mix tapes, Eleanor and Park fall for each other. They fall in love the way you do the first time, when you’re young, and you feel as if you have nothing and everything to lose.

I am so excited to read this book, its one i’ve been wanting for a long time and Park seems like an interesting character, as does Eleanor. I hope i’m not disappointed once I do read it because i’ve heard a lot of good things about it.

These next two books were also a part of my Amazon order.

IMG_20160217_171644Title: If I Stay

Author: Gayle Forman

Synopsis (This is copied from the back cover. click here to see the Goodreads page)

A cold February morning…

A snowy road…

And all of a sudden all of Mia’s choices are gone. Except one. As alone as she’ll ever be, Mia must make the most difficult  choice of all.

Title: Where she went

Author: Gayle Forman

Synopsis (This is copied from the back cover. click here to see the Goodreads page) reading this may also be a tiny spoiler if you haven’t read the first book or watched the film, so feel free to read but I just thought i’d warn you first.

Its been three years since Mia walked out of Adams life. And three years hes spent wondering why.

When their paths cross again in New York City, Adam and Mia are brought back together for one life- changing night.

Adam finally has the opportunity to ask Mia the questions that have been haunting him. But will a few hours in this magical city be enough to lay their past to rest, for good- or can you really have a second chance at first love?

Nothing more to say other than I am soooo excited!! I watched the film If I stay a while back, sadly because I hate seeing films before reading the book but hey, it happened. What I can say is that it pulled at my heart strings and know the book will too, and reading where she went will be interesting to see where the story went.

Again, the next book was part of my Amazon order.

Title: Me Before You. IMG_20160217_171800

Author: JoJo Moyes

Synopsis (This is copied from the back cover. click here to see the Goodreads page)

Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick.

What Lou doesn’t know is she’s about to lose her job or that knowing what’s coming is what keeps her sane.

Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he’s going to put a stop to that.

What Will doesn’t know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they’re going to change the other for all time.

This was another recommendation book, and one that I am glad to have received because it sounds amazing and i’m so excited to read it. One thing I am NOT ready for is the emotional rollercoaster that it is meant to take me on.

This book was also part of my Amazon order, and the last one I bought for myself.

Title: My Heart & Other Black Holes

Author: Jasmine Warga

Synopsis (This is copied from the back cover. click here to see the Goodreads page)

Physics nerd aysel and popular, handsome Roman are practically strangers, but theyve been drawn into an unthinkable partnership. In one months time, they plan to commit suicide- together.

With the deadline getting closer, something starts to grow between Aysel and Roman – a feeling she never thought she would experience. It seems there might be something to live for, after all – but is Aysel in so deep she can’t turn back?

This was a book I found when browsing goodreads and all I can say is wow am I ready to read this book. It might seem bad that I am this excited to read such a sad story, but the synopsis gives me hope and I feel as though there may be something deeper hidden within the book.

The next two books were a part of my Amazon order but a gift for one of my bestfriends birthday.

Title: All the Bright Places

Author: Jennifer Niven

Synopsis (This is copied from the back cover. click here to see the goodreads page)

Theodore Finch wants to take his own life. Violet Markey is devastated by her sisters death. They meet on the ledge of the school bell tower, and so their story begins. Its only together they can be themselves… But, as Violets world grows, Finch’s begins to shrink. How far will Violet go to save the boy she has come to love?

This is one of my most favourite books EVER and I am so so excited for my friend to read it and hope that she will love it just as much as I did.

I will be reviewing this book in the future so keep an eye out for that.

Title: Am I normal yet?

Author: Holly Bourne

Synopsis (This is copied from the back cover. click here to see the Goodreads page)

All Evie wants is to be normal. She’s almost off her meds and at a new college where no one knows her as the girl-who-went-nuts.  There’s only one thing left to tick off her list…

But relationships can mess with anyone’s head- something Evie’s new friends Amber and Lottie know only too well. The trouble is, if Evie wont tell them her secrets, how can they stop her making a huge mistake?

I don’t know about my friend, but I want to read this book as well! it looks really good and i’ve heard it even touches on topics like feminism, which I believe is very important so it would be interesting to see how it does that!

Aaaaand we have come to the end of this quite big haul, I hope you enjoyed it and are excited for the posts that I have to come!
